Jason, glad to see you\'re still going strong (the site...not your recent results). You may remember me from posting back in May. Had to go away for awhile.

With all sincerity, I appreciate all the info and advice found here. I promise to think long-term from this day forward...in poker and life. I have a problem with quitting endeavors that I start, I admit it.

Looking forward to being active again here and at the virtual felt

Move back down. Dont move up until your confidence is high. Base it less on bankroll and more on how you feel about your game. You could also take continuous shots instead of making a permanent move. The worst thing about running bad is what it does to your confidence, and without confidence its hard to play well at any level. Running bad at a higher level just makes it worse, because you start to question whether youll ever be able to hack it in this game. I also dont think 25 buy-ins is that much. A bigger cushion could help psychologically when you move up.

Okay i justed moved to the 10$ for the second time and againd i have went on a bad streak. I didnt have these streaks at the 5 or 2 dollar level. I don\'t know if its physchological to the point i don\'t think i can win there at the moment cause my negative roi there or what. But my game is suffering from it i can tell im not on top of it right now. So heres my question should i just stick it out and hope to start playing better or should i take a break and go back to studying the game while not playing just read articles watch vids of others and such. some help would be appreciated cause i hate losing and for sure don\'t like it when its my own fault.

Well, the bad news is that the effects of the bad run are still lingering. The good news is that I broke even on the couple of sets ive played so far:

Set 1: 1-2
Set 2: 1-0

Long way to go, but we shall see how it turns out. The silver lining is that i dont go 0-3 very often, but these 1-2 sets are REALLY getting old, and Im doing everything in my power to ensure those turn into 2-1 sets instead.

I never determine my BR by how many players are in the game. Instead, I decide which stake my BR is good for. Most pros will say you should have no less than 100 times the big blind to play right. I subscribe to this theory. So in other words, to play a .50-$1 ring game (6 or 9 seated) you would want to sit down with no less than $100 and to feel fairly secure in this venture you should have no less than 10 times your buy in behind. So in this example you would want to have $1k in your account after you sit with the $100.
Hope this helps.
