11:10pm: Well, unfortunately I didn’t get to play as much as I would have liked today due to having to bring my cat Sam to the vet. He has a urinary blockage condition where every so often his urinary tract gets clogged. So, unexpectedly, that’s another $750 we’ll have to fork out. For a while it didn’t look like my GF and I were going to be able to make it to the Hornets game because we were sitting in the Vet’s office for a solid hour RIGHT before the game. Fortunately, the traffic was light and we were able to get there only 4:00 into the first quarter, which coincidentally is right about the point where the Hornets stopped losing and pretty much took the lead for the rest of the game. I’m pretty surprised they pulled it off. In any professional sport it’s hard to knock off the top two seeds in your conference in back to back games. Chris Paul should seriously be mentioned in the MVP discussion.
Sorry I couldn’t talk more poker today, but as you know life happens. So the day ends with me being 6-2, which is basically +$200. Might not sound like much, but part of being a solid poker player is having a true appreciation for the value of a dollar. I can’t tell you how many people took the money they made for granted and started feeling like they were playing with “monopoly money”, which in turn led them to piss it all away in the wind.
More tommorrow…
