9:35am: If you’re interested in getting into heads up sit n gos, but you’re not too confident in your heads up game, you will be pleased to know that I am compiling some recorded heads up matches and adding commentary for you to view on YouTube. I have already had two videos posted for a few months now, however they are without audio commentary. Since January, I have recorded close to 100 heads up matches and will select probably 15-20 of them to publish. All of this will be done free of charge, of course.

If you would like me to email you with links when these videos are completed and uploaded, just register with this site (free) and have a corresponding email address. All registered members will be emailed the SECOND I have them up, provided there is enough demand for me to do so.

*EDIT*, 2:51pm: 2-0 so far today and I’ve won 7 out of my last 8. First two opponents were really passive. If I’m not catching any hands early on, and my opponent is really passive, I usually take on a sit and wait approach. My strategy in those situations is sometimes just gain the opponents trust by showing only quality hands in the small blinds. By doing this, your opponent will assume you’re a tight player. After I have gained my opponents trust, and the blinds get in the 50-100 range, I use my credibility to take advantage of that trust and steal the blinds when it counts. So often players concentrate on being aggressive too early. Even if you steal multiple pots at 10/20 blinds, it isn’t going to make much of a difference. Save it for when it counts. But that’s just my two cents :)

*EDIT*, 5:10am: Spent most of the day taking care of the cat. However, I found time to play two games just now, and won them both so I will finish today 4-0, up $200. However, I’ve already been to sleep so I will be putting in another morning session today. Good luck to everyone who is playing in all of the Sunday tournaments. I’d love to get into these, but online MTTs are not my thing. I’ve tried it, and cannot maintain the focus and concentration with all of these hi-tech electronics/distractions in my office. This is why I choose sit n gos over MTTs for the moment, because I can devote as little or as much time as I’d like to, and it’s just very convenient for me at this point in my life.
