2:43am: I never said that I don’t get lucky sometimes. In poker, sometimes you’re on the good end of it, sometimes you’re on the… well, you-know-what end. Most people profess to be on the bad end of it more than the good. It’s just human nature and psychology to remember the bad beats of your career, while forgetting all the little hands that built your bankroll in the first place.
With that being said, I present to you:
“A very sick turn card”

Hand History Here
The hand really played itself. No one in their right mind is folding a pocket pair at 50/100 blinds. At this point in the match, there’s no screwing around. Just because I got it in behind in THIS case doesn’t mean that shoving wasn’t the right play here. I can’t tell you how many times people call with KJ, JQ, J10 at this point in the match just because they see “two pretty paint cards”. Anyways, needless to say one time I was the one who went runner runner on someone. It’s usually the other way around because it’s not too often that I get the money in behind in these things.
Thank you, miracle turn/river combo for enabling me to finish 8-4 on the night.
