Second Video Tutorial Set to Release

9:30pm: By popular demand, I have completed my second video tutorial, and will release it at some point tommorrow. I’m currently in the process of converting and uploading the video, so keep checking within the next 12 hours for a link to be posted.

I really appreciate all of the compliments and suggestions you guys send in. I’m almost overwhelmed with the huge surge of traffic the blog has received within the last couple of weeks, and I sincerely appreciate you guys checking it out.

As a result, I have decided to do a whole series of tutorials totally free of charge. There are poker strategy sites that charge membership fees to access video tutorials, but I believe sometimes the best things in life are free.

Good luck to anyone who is playing tonight, as I am gearing up for yet another session. More later…

A Bad Beat Story in MY Favor

Cake Poker

2:43am: I never said that I don’t get lucky sometimes. In poker, sometimes you’re on the good end of it, sometimes you’re on the… well, you-know-what end. Most people profess to be on the bad end of it more than the good. It’s just human nature and psychology to remember the bad beats of your career, while forgetting all the little hands that built your bankroll in the first place.

With that being said, I present to you:

“A very sick turn card”

Hand History Here

The hand really played itself. No one in their right mind is folding a pocket pair at 50/100 blinds. At this point in the match, there’s no screwing around. Just because I got it in behind in THIS case doesn’t mean that shoving wasn’t the right play here. I can’t tell you how many times people call with KJ, JQ, J10 at this point in the match just because they see “two pretty paint cards”. Anyways, needless to say one time I was the one who went runner runner on someone. It’s usually the other way around because it’s not too often that I get the money in behind in these things.

Thank you, miracle turn/river combo for enabling me to finish 8-4 on the night.
