2:57am: I can finally get some sleep after having an up and down battle all night. For the most part, it has been a pretty unlucky night, but I’m playing some of my best poker ever right now. I suppose that was the factor that offset the 3-4 bad beats I took tonight, and with my third win a row, I improved to 5-3 on the night — putting me over the $20,000 profit mark on PokerStars.
I promised myself I would move up to $100 heads up matches when I finally hit $20,000 profit, and I am going to stick to my word. As soon as I am finished painting my house, I am going to buckle down and start making some real money.
Who’s coming with me?!

I am!!!!!!!!!!!! I started a new screenname on Fulltilt to get rakeback and have been playing strictly $20, $30, and $50 1-on-1s and have been absolutely CRUSHING. My new screenname on fulltilt is: chancepayne1. Nice to see you steppin up to the 100s. hopefully I wont be that far behind. keep up the good work Jason
What limits are you playing?
Im playin $20, $30, and $50 heads up SNG’s. I pretty much havent played many 20’s the last week, only 30’s and 50’s. Ive been super strict on my opponenets sharkscope only playing guys who were severely down (-15% ROI or worse, or even fish). Id say out fo my last 150 opponents 100 of them have had the fish in the bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I played (9) 100’s 2 weekends ago and went 5-4 but I just wasnt in my comfort zone beacuse of the stakes and therefore didnt feel I was playing optimally so Ive stayed at 30’s and 50’s for now. I also feel heads-up tailors to my game and personality more and following you for thelast year or so you’ve shown me how far you can take this. Ive told you before I need 6K/month to live and now if I can make that next step to the 100s I think I can fulfiill my dream of HOLDEMFORALIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very true, I’m with you on that one.
